Models for the determination of irrigation water supply in streamflows

First we present a background for the use of the gamma distribution in connection with streamflows. Then we describe three stochastic programming models that implicitly provide us with the water supply of the river that can be utilized for irrigation and other purposes. The models are quite general, and can be used to solve other problems in engineering, economics and finance. Numerical examples will be presented.
