A recently approved grant from the National Science Foundation will provide partial support for participants of DO'99. The major part of the funds is dedicated to support junior researchers, post-doctoral fellows and graduate students. Applications from U.S. institutions are strongly encouraged. Special attention will be given to applications coming from women and members of underrepresented minorities.

Interested participants should urgently apply for such support to the conference organizers. Applications should be accompanied by a curriculum vitae, and in the case of graduate students and post-doctoral fellows, by at least one letter of recommendation.
